Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
AEI offers high performance modeling and design services with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). CFD provides a means to accurately and precisely model air flow, fluid flow, heat transfer, evaporartion and condensation, mixing, particle transport and air quality.
The modeling services provided by AEI are intended to complement established design methods, permit cutting edge design without costly retrofits, provide process improvement and investigation, and to reduce life cycle costs.
AEI's CFD services are applicable to a wide range of interests including, but not limited to:
- Data Centers
- An
optimization of underfloor air ventilation tiles and electrical board
panel failure analysis was completed for an existing data center. more
- Smoke Exhaust and Fire Suppression System
- The
impact of the location and sizing of a smoke exhaust system in a High
School 4-story atrium was optimized for fire code compliance. more
- Naturally Ventilated Buildings
- The effectiveness of a solar chimney on classroom's fresh air ventilation
rate was optimized and examined for code compliance. more
- Vane Pumps
- A model of a vane pump was constructerd to investigate fluid performance characteristics at a specified operating point.
